3 Fingered Mitts: Worsted Version Notes

I based this off the pattern i wrote last time but used worsted instead so I had to change my gauge of course. plus i wanted stripes. and more gradual thumb gussets.

This isn't a FULL pattern since I didn't write the notes for right handed glove but these notes should get you started.
left hand notes (left, ‘cause the color changes end up on the palm this way)
co 32, k2 p2 for 11 rows
change color and knit 5 rows
change color and knit 3 rows, on 4th row k7, pm, m1, k1, m1, pm, k24
5th row knit
6th row change to new color and knit
7th row increase
continue increasing every 3rd row and changing color every 5 rows.

when 9 st between markers, knit another row or 2 to finish the last color stripe, then with next color, k 8 st, put 8 on holder, k24. k 4 more rows in that color, k 5 rows in next color.

change to next color, k16, put the next 16st on holders. between the 2 fingers is going to be new start of round.

CO 2 stitches, and continue knitting these 18 stitches til about 1/2” from finger tip, then k2, k2tog around, 14st left. k next round. k2tog next round, 7st left. lace tail thru st.
thumb:
k 8, pu 3, knit til 1/4” from thumb tip, k2tog around and lace tail thru.
i’m using these notes to make my right glove, though the thumb gusset will be placed differently to make sure the color change stays in the palm.
